The Ghost Advanced is a two piece composite fastpitch bat with a 2 1/4 inch barrel, in drops 8 through 11. It appears on the USA Softball certified list as EFP6GHAD8, 9, 10, and 11.
The drop changes how it swings. The drop 8 and drop 9 are heavier, for strong high school hitters. The drop 10 and drop 11 are lighter and quicker, for most travel and younger players. Easton pairs it with a joint meant to reduce sting on mishits.
For NSA, ISA, or USSSA fastpitch events, look for that association's stamp on the bat and check the event rules.
The Bottom Line

Most players from 10U through high school use a drop 10. The drop 11 suits younger or smaller players. Move to drop 9 or 8 only when a drop 10 swing is already quick.
